About Us

Now entering our fourth year, the Connecticut Final Cut Pro User Group is an Apple Recognized User Group that aims to build professional connections between creative Final Cut Pro users, independent filmmakers, students, and video professionals who embrace the digital media revolution. We currently have have over 350 members and growing!

CTFCPUG provides both evangelism and advocacy about the industry that encomasses all forms of digital media on the Macintosh. The group's focus will feature a blend of professional technical development, as well as a strong focus on the aesthetic of creating digital content. CTFCPUG wishes to be the strongest chapter of the FCPUGNetwork in the area of creativity and imagination.

CTFCPUG will work to share ideas, creativity, and user concerns related to the use of Final Cut Pro and related software. CTFCPUG will be a new resource for intermediate and beginner users to Final Cut Pro and/or the Macintosh platform. CTFCPUG will provide interactive forums for end distribution of digital content, be-it for broadcast, broadband, or DVD.

CTFCPUG will also strive to provide resources to those interested in learning more about purchasing and using Apple hardware and software, as well as digital video gear from associated partners. CTFCPUG will utilize the Apple Westfarms Store, local and international digital video vendors, national sponsors, and our friends at the BOSFCPUG and Moving Pictures Collective NYC to provide a fun and promising information sharing resource for all members. Sponsor CTFCPUG in 2007-2008

CTFCPUG is looking to cultivate new financially supportive relationships with cutting-edge, industry leading benefactors. In exchange for your support, we are offering advertisement space on our web site (soon to be re-designed) and presence at monthly meetings in the form of promotional hand outs and sign-age.

Q2 2007 is rapidly approaching and in order for CTFCPUG to continue to provide interesting,
inspiring, and informative guests, we are in need of monetary donations and raffle prizes. In order to make your sponsorship experience easier, as well as eliminating senseless shipping charges, we are now recommending a new plan for raffles: a minimum of three months donations per shipment should it apply to you. This way you don't have to deal with us
“bugging” you month to month. To assist you, a new policy for all raffle prize winners is now in effect per order CTFCPUG: Our winners’ names and contact information will now be submitted to you, our generous sponsors. This information can be used for product review follow up, as per many of your requests!

As a sign of good will, we will place your company name and logo reflecting the appropriate sponsorship level, until payment is received or confirmation period expires. Sponsors are expected to supply artwork and URL links along with payment to replace text. We kindly ask that you proof before sending to us. Invoices/Receipts can be made available for your purchasing records.

Levels of Sponsorship 2007-2008

RAFFLE SPONSOR: CTFCPUG will post a linked text listing on the web site and return raffle winners names in for reviews & testimonials.

BRONZE SPONSOR: CTFCPUG will post a linked text listing on the web site, return raffle winners names in for reviews & testimonials and pass out sell sheets/handouts at all CTFCPUG events.

SILVER SPONSOR: CTFCPUG will post a linked text listing and a 300 pixel wide linked banner on the web site, return raffle winners names in for reviews & testimonials, pass out sell sheets/handouts at all CTFCPUG events.

GOLD SPONSOR: CTFCPUG will post a linked text listing and a 600 pixel wide linked banner on the web site, a 150 pixel wide linked side banner on the web site, return raffle winners names in for reviews & testimonials, pass out sell sheets/handouts at all CTFCPUG events, promote all news and specials in CTFCPUG email blasts and add logo to hanging banner at all CTFCPUG meetings.
